With DogWatch®, systems are designed to be serviceable, adjustable, and supported locally as your dog, property, or needs change. Whether it’s adjusting training levels, replacing batteries, or modifying boundaries, long-term support is built into how the system is meant to be used.
How long do DogWatch® systems typically last?
DogWatch® systems are designed for long-term use and can continue working reliably for many years. The buried wire itself is permanent, and as long as it remains intact, the system functions just as it did on installation day. Routine maintenance is minimal and typically limited to periodic battery replacement in the receiver collar.
If the boundary wire is ever damaged due to digging, landscaping, or other external factors, it can be properly repaired by your dealer without compromising system performance. When repairs are done correctly, the boundary functions the same as the original installation. The wire is covered by a lifetime limited warranty, with breakage being one of the few factors outside of anyone’s control.
